Semear Eventos is an event organization project where they take care not only of the catering but also the decoration of the various parties, always with a commitment to reducing waste at times of celebration.
Purchases are made in bulk and products are bought from local producers, which is the case of fruit and vegetables. Most of the products are made from the ground up, even vegetable drinks and yogurts.
The catering is 100% vegan and no processed products are used.
For decoration, they look for second-hand materials and items, with small defects or in stores that have closed down and have no way of disposing of their stock.
2. Kitchen Dates
They’ve been a lot of things, including the first Portuguese restaurant without a garbage can. Now, Kitchen Dates presents itself as a food literacy project and its work is divided between a podcast, workshops, consultancy and also catering for events.
In the caterings they prepare, which are always made to order, there are no disposables. The dishes are plant-based and made with organic, local, seasonal and waste-free products.
3. The Food For Real
As with its two restaurants, The Food for Real‘s catering is also completely gluten-free, adapting to any other special requests. Above all, they present themselves as an “inclusive catering service”.
The products presented change with the seasons. So if you ordering catering on hot days, count on beet hummus, for example. In winter, there’s no shortage of soup, almost always cooked with sweet potatoes.
Therapist ‘s catering is flexitarian and can be served for brunch, lunch, cocktails, dinner or any other meal at the client’s request.
The materials used are reusable, such as glass plates, stainless steel cutlery, glass jars and cups, and recycled or recyclable, such as napkins.
In addition, they work continuously to adjust quantities in order to minimize waste. When it happens, it is reused in the restaurant or by the team.
