When you have pots and pans that you no longer use, it’s important to know what to do with them.
The ordinary bin is not the best solution, and even traditional recycling bins are not the right place.
We asked Sociedade Ponto Verde (the Portuguese society responsible for waste management) to help us find out what should be done with these kitchen utensils.

Sociedade Ponto Verde warns: “Before going to the recycling center, it is important to confirm that the waste you want to be disposed of, can be delivered there.” Sometimes, not all recycling centers accept all types of waste due to storage space or for security reasons.
Peggada adds a tip: there are mobile ecocenters around Lisbon, with a special space to put pots, pans and other kitchen utensils. You can see when they’ll be in your parish in this calendar.
