Want to know more about the restaurants with the most sustainable practices? Keep an eye on Peggada and DIG-IN. It’s going to be a month full of tips.
World Environment Day is celebrated on June 5, and because one day isn’t enough to mark this important date, DIG-IN and PEGGADA have teamed up to share, throughout the month, various tips and suggestions on how to live a more sustainable daily life.
With a particular focus on the restaurant sector, which has a considerable footprint and such a decisive role in combating waste, this partnership aims to raise awareness of the issue among the various players through tips and workshops on the subject.
We’ll show you spaces with sustainable practices and give you tips for those who want to make this transition and adopt more sustainable practices in their business.
Throughout June, users of the DIG-IN app will have to pay close attention to the DIG-IN and Peggada pages. Why? Because sustainability and caring for the environment will be in the spotlight, with the well-known Eco & Sustainable Spaces Collection by PEGGADAavailable in your DIG-IN app, as well as a series of suggestions, recommendations, offers and, of course, lots of surprises.
In the meantime, you can always reread the reports we’ve already done on restaurants that set an example, such as Alecrim aos Molhos, Orelha d’Elefante and Casavostra.
Marta Cerqueira is from Minho and a vegetarian. Luckily, she lives in Lisbon, where there is more tofu than sarrabulho. She has been a journalist for over 15 years, the last of which writing about food and sustainability. Now, out of the newsroom, she continues to write whenever she can, be it in magazines, journals, post its, or on her Instagram page, which she uses to share a life divided between being a mom-person-foodie-traveler. Still, she created Peggada so she could write about what doesn't fit in a magazine, journal, post it or Instagram: a better world.
