The Freixo Alimento is a project that produces and sells healthy, nutritious, tasty, and high-quality food products – ranging from meat and fresh fruit to aromatic herbs.
In the vegetable garden, vegetables are produced year-round using biointensive horticulture techniques, with certification in Organic Production Mode, and taking advantage of the biodiversity of the surrounding environment. In the vegetable processing unit, surplus vegetables are transformed into preserves.
Through the “Home Program,” local and fresh products reach consumers’ tables in baskets. Consumers also become co-producers, contributing to the construction of this project that reflects joint responsibility for the sustainable production of healthy food, the reconnection with ecosystems, and rural development.
