11:00 a.m. “Sustainable Apparel Coalition—the world’s largest apparel & textile trade organization”: In this session, sustainability expert Rick Ridgeway will show how the Sustainable Clothing Coalition intends to put some order into the fast fashion industry.
11:17 am. “Climate change: The pivotal role of moonshots”: In this session, Tatsiana Zaretskaya of Laava Tech talks about how companies balance between ambition and the need to protect the environment, and how each of us can contribute to this process.
2:10 p.m. “Using carbon capture to save the world”. In this session, you can meet a special group of teenagers who want to save the planet through carbon capture technology. Anupra Chandran, Taira Mehta, and Riya Mehta are from the Knowledge Society – the next generation of innovators, scientists, and entrepreneurs.
3:20 p.m. “How a plant-based diet can fight climate change”:Talk with Impossible Foods creator Pat Brown about the inevitable transformation of our food system, and how vegetable meat can be a powerful way to halt climate change.
4:00 p.m. “Borderless, sustainable and democratic: Exploring the future of content”: In this session, Simon Green, CEO and founder of the green rock content studio, talks to actor Walter Murch (The Godfather, Apocalypse Now) and Pippa Hogg, head of studio at Ravensbourne University, to discuss the future of collaborative creativity in a world without borders. How can totally remote ways of working democratize content creation? Are we finally moving towards a more sustainable industry?
In addition to all these talks and masterclasses, the event itself wants to be as sustainable as possible. The use of disposable plastic is avoided as much as possible and meals that are not consumed will be distributed by those who need it most.
