Cooking & Nature brings you into contact with nature in many different ways.
To sleep you have The Nest and the Emocional Hotel, two accommodations that, although they have different concepts, are based on well-being, rest, living slowly and enjoying.
Both were built with more sustainable materials such as cork and wood, and with large panes of glass to take advantage of the sun’s natural heating. They have implemented a zero-plastic policy and all the surrounding fauna and flora has been preserved in the construction of the development.
They reuse water and have a timer-controlled irrigation system to avoid waste.
They also seek to preserve, protect and regenerate the terrestrial ecosystems in the Serra de Aire e Candeeiros Natural Park. To this end, they participate in the protection of an endangered species – the Red-billed Chough – which inspired the construction and decoration of one of the apartments at The Nest by Cooking and Nature.
