Maria Granel – Campo de Ourique
Maria Granel – Campo de Ourique is the first Portuguese zero waste shop, an organic bulk grocery and “plastic free” accessories store. It was founded
It is opened on 1938 and since then, without ever losing its welcoming and familiar spirit. It has made famous the greatest perals of our national production: cookies from Fábrica Paupério, plums from Elvas, areias from Sintra, ginginha from Marvão, poncha from Madeira, sweets from Régua, súplicas from Aveiro, peixinhos from Azeitão, brandies and liqueurs, jams and honey, and of course, the most varied teas and coffees.
This project actively contributes to reduction of waste generation through prevention, reduction, recycling, and reuse. This SDG also aims to reduce global food waste in production and consumption.
