Fishing4Ghosts is a project founded in Portugal that is dedicated to finding solutions to mitigate the impact of “ghost fishnets”, those fishing nets lost at sea that threaten wildlife.
The project encourages fishermen to bring back discarded material and handcrafts it into bracelets, key rings and sunglasses chains – and 10% of the profits are donated. The initiative is based on a policy of zero waste, awareness-raising and circular economy.
