Sustainable projects are multiplying all over the country and Aveiro is no exception to this wave of people wanting to do more than just start
Leiria stands out on Peggada’s sustainable business map with a number of projects that deserve our attention. Bulk stores or second-hand clothes, childcare or more conscious cosmetics stores, there’s a bit of everything.
In this article you’ll find six projects to discover in Leiria:
Bulk store with a wide variety of products available, always with a focus on eating healthy without waste. Dried fruit, spices, pasta, legumes, tea, flour and cookies. Everything in the right amount.

2. Kid to Kid
Kid to Kid is a store for buying and selling children’s items from 0-12 years old. Here you can find the most diverse items (new and used) from clothing, furniture, toys, equipment and accessories. You can also take what you no longer use and sell it to the store, which will put it up for sale again.

3. Chás do Mundo (Teas of the world)
Store selling teas, medicinal herbs, infusions and tisanes, with bulk options.

Opening Hours: 9am-1pm, 2pm-6pm. Closed on Saturday and Sunday
4. Bom Granel – Bulk Store
There’s no shortage of products in this bulk store to fill the jars and bags you bring from home. Breakfast cereals, teas, spices, pasta, or legumes, the offer is complete and is also available in the online store.
Follow them closely to find out more about the workshops and product tastings they run to showcase the benefits of healthy and sustainable eating.

5. BulkNatur
A physical and online store for natural therapeutic products, cleaning, hygiene, cosmetics, and accessories. They have several products in bulk and run workshops so that more people know how to make natural hygiene and cleaning products at home.

Opening Hours: 10.30am-1pm, 3pm-7pm. Closed on Saturday and Sunday.
Marta Cerqueira is from Minho and a vegetarian. Luckily, she lives in Lisbon, where there is more tofu than sarrabulho.
