At this local accommodation in Ponte de Lima, almost 50% of the vegetables and fruit come from their own organic garden, which follows permaculture principles. Guests are even invited to take part in the care of the vegetable garden, with the aim of getting them to want to grow their own crops at home.
Although the kitchen is open to anyone who wants to cook meat and fish, everything served there by the chefs is vegetarian and the owners encourage people to take advantage of their days there to try other flavors.
The house is heated by solar panels and both rainwater and pool water are treated and used for the house and irrigation.
