The Palácio Príncipe Real welcomes its guests in a luxury palace, located in the heart of Príncipe Real, with a large garden, heated swimming pool and wellness rooms.
The spacious rooms are perfect for relaxing and the service gives guests a taste of times gone by, when people were treated as individuals and life was lived at a slower pace. They serve breakfast à la carte until noon, or a little later if you prefer.
They care about sustainability and believe that the little things we can do together can make all the difference:
– The original layout (thick stone walls and solid stone marble) and wooden shutters (EXCELLENT ENERGY EFFICIENCY) was kept
– Sustainable building materials — LED lighting — a garden with over 500 trees, plants and shrubs (pesticide-free)
– Solar panels to heat the pool
– Electric car charging point
– Own herb garden
– Composting organic waste
– Flowers picked from the garden to decorate rooms and tables – Optimization of the laundry for minimum water/energy consumption
– A la carte breakfast (to avoid waste)
– They use organic products and pasture-raised meat. Whenever possible, they provide locally produced seasonal fruit and vegetables
– They are producer-owners of first-class organic extra virgin olive oil
– Many of the wines they stock are produced sustainably and, whenever possible, by friends
– They ‘hate’ plastic (they avoid bottles and packaging). They offer filtered water in reusable glass bottles. Coffee pods are made from recyclable materials and ‘grounds’ used in the garden
