The konceito.r store offers a huge variety of pieces, trying to protect, through textile reuse, the environment, emphasizing women’s clothing, but not forgetting, at all, men’s fashion. The goal is to promote the circular economy model, giving a chance to the large amount of clothes we all have in our closet to have a new life and a new opportunity to shine, turning what would be a waste into a resource.
With a focus on decreasing our ecological footprint, selling second-hand clothing and responsible consumption significantly helps to reduce the negative impact each of us has on the environment. Small changes in our consumption habits can have big benefits for our Planet and this is the message that the konceito.r store wants to pass on by reminding us that the most sustainable piece of clothing is the one that has already been manufactured.
This store already has 13 years of existence, always surprising customers and always following the seasons and trends. The clothes are left on consignment by the customers and the prices rarely exceed 50 euros, being mostly between 10 and 20 euros.
There are details that distinguish this store from others, and one of them is upcycling. Advocating the reuse and replacement of waste to reduce the negative environmental impact of manufacturing, caused by excessive consumption and waste production. Clothes that are not in condition and are not sold, are transformed into new original and differentiating pieces, allowing the customer, at a friendly and affordable price, to leave the store with a unique and personalized item.
This project actively contributes to reduction of waste generation through prevention, reduction, recycling, and reuse. This SDG also aims to reduce global food waste in production and consumption.
