Jardim Eco Tattoo is not just another tattoo studio. There’s no detail here that isn’t handpicked, and always with a focus on a better world.
Most of what you find inside that cosy corner in Campo de Ourique is found on the street or bought second-hand.
As for materials, expect vegan paints, creams and disinfectants, and utensils made from recycled or biodegradable products. The gloves and covers are made from cornstarch and the cups for putting the paints in are made from wheat and are therefore compostable. Even the utensil that serves as the base for the needle is biodegradable.
What’s more, as it’s usually necessary to remove the hair from the area to be waxed, Letícia advises clients to do this at home or to bring their own razor to the studio.
The idea for this very special space came from the mind of Ohohlele, a vegan who lives a life with minimal waste, and who wanted to bring her lifestyle to her work. The studio is also opened to other artists who identify with this style of work.
