The Circular Way to Inclusion project wants to have increasingly competent staff when it comes to sustainability and social impact. It works with trainers and workers from youth organizations, so that the word gets out to more and more young people.
The idea here is to spread the word and knowledge to more and more people. Sustainability is the message, which is passed on from organizations to young people through a project with the name Circular Way to Inclusion and which develops a set of materials, tools and training activities that help to increase the skills of the staff of youth organizations so that they can increase the supply of solutions based on the Circular Economy.
Circular Way to Inclusion is an Erasmus+ project with the participation of other organizations besides CEP – Paideia Foundation, Impact Hub Liepaja, Eiva, Concello de Santiago de Compostela.
“The Circular Way to Inclusion project improves the skills of the staff (volunteers/trainers/youth workers) of organizations that work with young people,” explains Giovana Barbieri, the project’s representative in Portugal .
In this first stage, the project is developing a set of training materials, tools and activities. Some materials have already been developed by CEP, such as a guide to good practices, a circular economy training kit and guidelines for developing awareness campaigns.
“The main audience for which this material has been developed are the workers and volunteers of youth organizations, who have the ability to empower and support young people to live more sustainably and adopt circular economy practices,” she says.
In the first phase, explains Giovani, the aim is to train 10 coaches for them to be able to train 100 young people.
“In 2024, we enter the second phase of the project, which will be the phase of training and empowering the public through all the materials and studies that were developed in the first phase,” she adds.
