Vila is a school community with an innovative pedagogical model and curriculum,for children and young people between the ages of 3 and 12, aiming to reach all school years up to the age of 18. Get to know how to take part and contribute to this project’s growth.
The idea here is to learn, of course. But it’s much more than that. The Vila project aims to create a safe educational experience space where children and young people can live creatively, committedly, and participatively, and be critically aware of themselves and the world, happy and free.
The proposal is both simple and complex: to be a school with an innovative pedagogical model and curriculum capable of contributing to a sustainable and collaborative society, providing a foundation that supports the growth and development of children and young people from the age of 3 and throughout their entire schooling. But for this to happen, the collective financing model is fundamental.
In addition to the crowdlending campaigns on Go Parity – an impact investment platform – Vila is also running its own crowdlending campaign with the aim of raising specific investment for the construction of this school, from private loans that create income for those who invest.
In practice, those who invest money in the school receive six-monthly interest payments in return, with the borrowed capital being returned at the end of the selected term, in order to provide maximum profitability. The bureaucracy is super simple and the whole process is done online.
At this stage, the capital raised in this investment round will be invested:
– In infrastructure and spaces for the Vila;
– The creation of innovative curricula for the 1st and 2nd cycles, and for the preparation of the 3rd cycle.
The minimum amount to invest is 100 euros and the maximum amount is 24,000 euros, with terms ranging from two to seven years.
All the information about this impact investment can be found on Vila’s website, where you’ll also find the investment form. Once filled in, you will receive the completed and signed loan agreement by e-mail and, once the amount to be invested has been transferred, the interest you will receive will begin to count.
Investing in Vila means investing in a school that focuses on sustainability and offers an innovative option for the Portuguese curriculum across various educational stages, as an alternative to the international curriculum options that have been proliferating in the city. Innovation in the way of learning and experiencing a locally-based school community is the proposal that is being put into practice.
