When the wind is stronger than the rods, there are dozens of umbrellas left lying around. Anna and Yasmin decided to take them and give them a new life. They have set up drop-off points all over the country where people can leave what they find on the street and, with the help of artisans, R-Coat transforms the fabrics into coats, bags, hats, and shorts. The project is called R-Coat and, not only does it reuse what would go to waste, but it takes this sustainability focus into every detail of the production process.
This project actively contributes to reduction of waste generation through prevention, reduction, recycling, and reuse. This SDG also aims to reduce global food waste in production and consumption.
