At the foot of the Serra da Estrela, in the middle of the Dão Demarcated Region, we find Casa das Palmeiras, an accommodation that was reborn from ruins and originated two cozy houses, a museum in the old wine press and a biological swimming pool to refresh the hottest days in the mountains. Sustainability is a constant presence: native trees are planted annually, breakfasts include organic and local products, and since 2020 the energy used at Casa das Palmeiras comes from renewable sources.
