Although the oil from canned goods can be used for consumption, some people prefer not to use it. We know that there can be doubts when it comes to disposing of this liquid, so we’ll explain everything in this article. <\/strong><\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

Cooking oil is made up of a mixture of unsaturated fatty acids that are not soluble in water due to their different densities. That’s why pouring it down the drain isn’t a solution. <\/p>\n

The same goes for the oils involved in canning. When it comes to disposal, and if you don’t use it for consumption, it’s important to know that oil bins are the best place to go. You can find a map of all these special containers on this website<\/a>. <\/p>\n

According to the Sociedade Ponto Verde website, these are the steps for disposing of oil:<\/p>\n

. Lev\u00e1-lo at\u00e9 ao ole\u00e3o mais perto. <\/p>\n

Recycling these oils only has advantages. As well as preventing damage to the plumbing system, we are sure that this product will be given a new life full of potential. One thousand liters of used oil can be used to produce up to 980 liters of biodiesel, a fuel that emits approximately 80% less carbon dioxide than diesel. <\/p>\n

In addition to these advantages, by placing used cooking oil in the circular economy you are preventing the emission of around 14 tons of greenhouse gases, released when, for example, this waste is sent to landfill and degrades, points out Sociedade Ponto Verde.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
