For safety reasons, supermarket products are removed from the shelves as soon as they expire. And consumers tend to choose those with a longer shelf life. <\/p>\n

To combat food waste, Auchan has decided to encourage consumers to take end-of-life products home. To this end, it has created a space in its stores where only these products are to be found, clearly marked. In addition, these products are sold at a discount. <\/p>\n

In this section you can find yogurts, salads, meals, packaged meat and fish, as well as cheese products, cold meats and groceries.<\/strong> Price reductions can be up to 50%.<\/p>\n

This is one of many initiatives by the supermarket chain, which in recent years has invested in reducing waste.
\nThis is the case with the app<\/a> created to calculate food waste, or the boxes of<\/a> more mature fresh produce<\/a> sold at a lower price.
