We spoke to Lucas Oliveira, founder of Plantz<\/a>, a startup that wants to show that vegetarian food is nutritious and tasty by creating ready-made meals that are delivered to your home.<\/p>\n

They believe that healthy and sustainable food should be accessible to everyone, without compromising taste or convenience. With this conviction, they offer ready-to-eat, 100% plant-based and deep-frozen meals.<\/p>\n

1. Present your project in one paragraph. Go for it!<\/strong><\/p>\n

Plantz is a Porto-based company specializing in plant-based frozen meals made by chefs and nutritionists. We offer a practical, tasty and sustainable solution for those looking for ready-to-eat meals delivered directly to their homes in Portugal and Spain. We have a strong commitment to helping people follow a more plant-based diet in an easy way.<\/p>\n

2. What gap in the market does your project address?<\/h3>\n

We are bridging the gap between the convenience of ready meals and the growing demand for healthier food options. The current range of ready-to-eat meals leaves much to be desired – with excessive use of saturated fats, animal foods and preservatives\/additives.<\/p>\n

3. How is your project doing something more in the area of sustainability?<\/h3>\n

Our main point of sustainability is the simple fact of being an affordable plant-based food option (one of the most impactful choices an individual can make). But we know that we have a long way to go in other areas of the company, such as plastic packaging.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

4. What are the biggest obstacles to working in this area?<\/strong><\/p>\n

One of the biggest challenges we face is the prejudice that still exists when it comes to plant-based diets. Many people are reluctant to try it, and our biggest challenge is to get them to taste it at least once.<\/p>\n

5. What achievement are you most proud of while leading this project?<\/strong><\/p>\n

What we’re most proud of is that we’ve managed to create an efficient supply chain that allows for fast deliveries while maintaining a good product. But the main thing is every compliment \/ good feedback and the trust we have from our clients.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t
