1. “This Changes Everything” from The Sound Bath podcast<\/a><\/h3>\n

An interview with writer, journalist, and activist Naomi Klein, author of Everything Can Change: Capitalism Vs. Climate. The interview follows some of the themes Naomi has worked on throughout her career, including eco-feminism and the relationship between capitalism and the climate crisis. The podcast is by LUSH and invites artists, authors and activists to talk about their work and their interpretation of what it means to care on a personal and social level.<\/p>\n

2. “Is Influencer culture bad for the Planet?” from The Climate Question podcast<\/a><\/h3>\n

Episode that questions the role influencers play in consumer society. We are guided through the history of this new way of selling products and led to question whether putting cell phones aside might not be a good way to minimize consumption. This is a landmark BBC World Service podcast that explores why it is so complex to save the planet and how that can change. It deals in a simple and informative way with various topics such as subsidies to the fossil fuel industry or even “how to talk to a climate denier.”<\/p>\n

3. “Impact of textile waste with Salom\u00e9 Areias” from the Ambientalista Imperfeita (Imperfect Environmentalist) podcast<\/a><\/h3>\n

This is an Antena 3 podcast written by Joana Guerra Tadeu that visits, in Portuguese and in short and long episodes, several themes related to the impact we all have on the planet. Salom\u00e9 Areias, an activist in the area of consumption and the fashion industry, represents the organization Fashion Revolution Portugal and talks to us about the impact of textile waste in developing countries.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

Christiana Figueres: On Female Leadership” from the podcast Who Cares Wins with Lily Cole<\/a><\/h3>\n

Lily Cole builds an optimistic program around the power of “wanting to know”. This episode focuses on the impacts that female political leadership can have on creating a sustainable development paradigm. The guest, Christiana Figueres, is a political figure from Costa Rica who has been deeply involved in various climate negotiations and particularly the Paris Agreement negotiations in 2015. Throughout the interview, Figueres presents us with her life story and some of her perceptions regarding the crisis at hand: “That’s what makes it both hugely challenging but also hugely exciting to understand that all of this is a huge web of connections that yes the carbon intensity of our economy is one factor but so is gender, so is race, so is social divisions, so is geographical divisions.”<\/p>\n

5. “In\u00eas Alexandre – Transformers Movement” from the podcast My Generation<\/a><\/h3>\n

In an interview, In\u00eas Alexandre talks about her experience as a young social entrepreneur and about the state of activism and volunteering in Portugal.<\/p>\n

This is the podcast dedicated to the great achievements of young Portuguese, conducted by Diana Duarte. The critical sense, the innovative spirit, and the will to do something different to improve the loose ends of the society around us are central points

Leonor (better known as N\u00f4n\u00f4) inherited the taste for nature from her paternal grandfather, who used to carry seeds in his pockets to plant them when the time was right. She founded the Environmentalist Nucleus at the University where she graduated, was involved in civil disobedience movements for climate justice, and studied in London where she tasted the best veggie burger she knows to date. She pursued a master’s degree in Political Science and International Relations because it is an area she considers key to create a paradigm for climate justice. She went to Paris to deepen her knowledge in sustainability and later to write a thesis in the same area. Proud of her pots of mint and basil, an avid reader, a fan of afternoons spent around the table, an apologist for simplicity. She suspects she would be happy with a vegetable garden and a profession associated with sustainability and human rights.<\/h2>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
