Hit the road. A Viagem pelo Clima (Journey for the Climate) is a team competition that gives you the opportunity to travel around Portugal for 10 days in the most sustainable way you know. <\/strong><\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

Until April 23rd you can register on the website <\/span>Viagem pelo Clima<\/span><\/a>to compete in this challenge promoted by Get2C in partnership with the Municipality of Cascais. Three teams will be selected to travel around Portugal in the second half of September this year, on an itinerary proposed by themselves. The winning team will have the unique opportunity to present their proposal at COP28, the United Nations Climate Change Conference, which will take place in Dubai starting November 30 this year.<\/span><\/p>\n

Teams will start with an initial budget provided by the event organizers, and along the route, their “Climates” – the fictitious currency that will measure the resources spent (time, money, CO2, and water) – will be counted. The more conscious your choices are, the greater the accumulated balance at the end of the goal. Along the way there will be challenges proposed by the organization, in the area of circular economy and cooperation, among others, with the aim of mobilizing local communities and municipalities for the importance of sustainable practices in day-to-day life and its impact on the planet. <\/span><\/p>\n

To participate you must be over 18 years old, there is no age limit, and at least one member of your team (consisting of four people) must have the skills to produce and edit videos along the way, good oral and written communication skills, in Portuguese and English. <\/span><\/p>\n

This challenge will allow us to measure the individual impact of the teams’ carbon and water footprints, prove the viability of different modes of transport, food choices, and water consumption, and demonstrate the impact of collective action throughout this mission. She spent  her childhood between Algarve and Lisbon, studied Arts but followed Journalism, likes clams with toasted bread as much as sausages with savoy cabbage. In short, her life is as much about the sea as it is about land. Her feet are always bare and she sings loudly when she goes shopping. She likes to grow pioneering projects with impact, from food-based to mobility, as long as they help someone in their mission. Social responsibility speaks to her heart, so she regularly volunteers and donates her clothes. Her reference in sustainability is her grandmother, who has always used bath water, fruit peels for tea, and treasures her belongings with her heart. <\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
