From the recycling bin to planet Earth, here are the masks to build with the family before Carnival. They take some work, but in the end, the message pays off. <\/strong><\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

2021 Carnival it was not a reality, and in 2022 the festivities will continue at half speed. But the fun for the kids continues and it is with them in mind that we have three eco-friendly costume ideas. <\/p>\n

Since there is a Carnival parade in schools every year, why not reuse the materials and fabrics from previous years to make a new costume this year?<\/strong> It is not by chance that one of our proposals is even a recycling bin.<\/p>\n

All this has one purpose: to protect the environment, which brings us to the second and third mask: Mother Nature and planet Earth. <\/p>\n

Materials:
<\/strong> \u2014 Yellow foam rubber
– Green foam rubber
– Pieces of cardboard
– Images of containers, cans, etc
– Glue stick
– Hot glue (gun)
– Backpack straps or similar<\/p>\n

How to make it:
<\/strong>First, glue the recycling symbol on one of the yellow EVA foam sheets with hot glue. You can do it in green foam or paint it directly. Then form the cube with the two sheets of yellow EVA foam. Machine stitch them on the sides or glue them on. Be careful with the symbol, make sure it stays outside and straight. One trick is to tape the symbol, both on the part that touches the tab of the machine and on the bottom, so that it would slide better.<\/p>\n

– An old green sweater
– Felt in shades of green
– Green Pens
– Silicone or silicone gun
– Scissors<\/p>\n

How to do it:<\/strong>
Take the sweater and cut it from the bottom up into thin stripes. Then cut the felt into leaf shapes and draw veins with pens in darker shades of green. Glue the leaves to the ends of the sweater threads, along the ends of the sweater threads, and also on the chest area going around the neckline. <\/p>\n

Materials:<\/strong>
– Balloon from a party store or round box
– Many newspapers
– A4 sheets of paper
– Cooking oil spray
– Mixing papier-m\u00e2ch\u00e9: flour and water (explanation below)
– Image of a globe or reference atlas for drawing the continents
– Pencil
– Sharpie Pen Black
– Basic tempera paint for children: blue and green
– Two large foam brushes and a small brush for detailed work
– Cup saw and hole punch (optional)
– Sturdy scissors
– For the belt: 2 pieces of wood or thin plywood; cloth tape; 4 small screws, nuts and washers<\/p>\n

How to do it: <\/strong>
Fill the balloon to the desired diameter and spray it with a thick layer of cooking oil spray. Mix a large amount of papier-m\u00e2ch\u00e9<\/a> paste. Put a layer on the balloon and let it dry well for about 24 hours. When well dry, put another layer on.
Move on to drawing the continents, starting by tracing their outline with a pen. Then cut the balloon and make openings at the North and South Pole (for the head and body).
Start painting the oceans and continents with blue and green. Assemble two pieces of wood inside and attach them to the balloon with screws, nuts, and washers. Tie cloth tape between the wooden frame. <\/p>\n
